February 27, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Free

The ASRA is proud to offer this 1.25-hour online presentation for stenographic reporters across Canada with practical and sound advice from Dr. Peter Silverstone, interim chair of the Psychiatry Department and the Neuroscience and Mental Health Institute at the University of Alberta and professor of psychiatry at the University of Alberta. Dr. Silverstone will be providing a one-hour presentation which explores resiliency and the science behind COVID’s impacts as well as effective strategies related to cognition, meditation, mindfulness, exercise (and more) to combat anxiety and depression, followed by a 15-20 minute Q & A from the membership.

“COVID: A fact-based guide to boosting mental health and wellness during the pandemic”

The ongoing pandemic has placed a variety of stressors on people’s lives stemming from isolation, health concerns, economic stressors, and uncertainty about the future. It’s very important to have good evidence-based advice on how to prevent and cope with that anxiety and stress moving forward throughout 2021.

ASRA and NCRA CEUs will be available. (TBD).

We are opening up this great presentation to family members as well; so if you can provide the number of guests attending in your group, that would be wonderful.
