Wendy Egbert Swann was an inspiring woman who was generous with her time and mentorship.  She met challenges head on and was herself a single mother when she decided to go back to school as a member of the very first class of court reporters at NAIT.

The ASRA funds the Wendy Egbert Swann scholarship in tribute to her as a trailblazer so that we never forget her tenacity and dedication to the industry.  It was in her spirit to support women whose shoes she had walked in. As such, priority for this scholarship goes first to students who are single mothers and then to students who are children of single mothers.
